सुरक्षा अत्यंत चिंता का विषय है इस शब्द की वास्तविक्ता को समझना जरूरी है | एक सामान्य व्यक्ति को सुरक्षा और दुर्घटना की रोकथाम के बारे में जानकरी प्रदान करना अति आवाश्यक है। संस्था का शैक्षिक लक्ष्य सुरक्षा और आपदा प्रबंधन और इसके कानूनी पहलुओं की अवधारणा को अवगत कराना है। सुरक्षा के साथ समझौता करने से कार्य के दौरान यदि कर्मचारी घायल हो जाता है तो उत्पादन तो कम या बंद हो ही जाता है बल्कि अन्य सभी कर्मचारियों का मनोबल भी नीचे आ जाता है | 

सुरक्षा प्राथमिकता ही नहीं है, एक प्रमुख दायित्व है | हमेशा 'सुरक्षा पहले' या 'सावधान रहें' के रवैये की वकालत करते रहने में कोई बुराई नहीं है | सुरक्षा प्रबंधन का उद्देश्य जोखिम प्रबंधन तकनीकों और सुरक्षा प्रबंधन कार्यों को लागू करने, कर्मचारियों के स्वास्थ्य के मानक में सुधार, ऑपरेटिंग सिस्टम की निगरानी और सुधार करना ही  है , सामान्य रूप से किसी उद्योग के सुरक्षा उपायों को मजबूत करने के द्वारा जोखिम, चोटों और दुर्घटनाओं की संभावना को कम करने में बहुत सहायता मिलती है। हमारी दुनिया में और आसपास प्राकृतिक आपदाओं के उदय के साथ, मानव पूंजी की सुरक्षा का महत्व बढ़ना आवश्यक है |

एक सही परिवेश में सुरक्षा का अर्थ है नियमानुसार कार्य करना, व्यर्थ के कामो से दूर रहते हुए काम करने वाले स्थान को साफ एवं सुरछित रखना, रोज होने वाले कार्यो में अपनी सुरक्षा और सावधानियो को ध्यान में रखते हुए निश्चित किये हुए निर्देशों को पालन किया जाए |

वैज्ञानिक ज्ञान की एक शाखा के रूप में सुरक्षा धीरे-धीरे स्थापित की जा रही है, हालांकि यह एक विकसित वैज्ञानिक अनुशासन के रूप में बोलने वाली बात है। सुरक्षा प्रबंधन से संबंधित शब्दावली का प्रमाणन तय है।  सुरक्षा को अक्सर संरक्षित होने की स्थिति के रूप में माना जाता है उदाहरण के लिए, यह कहा गया है कि सुरक्षा व्यक्तियों की एक अवस्था है, जो कि बृहत  खतरे से समाज और प्राकृतिक वातावरण की रक्षा कर रही है।

सुरक्षा किसी भी शारीरिक, सामाजिक, आध्यात्मिक, वित्तीय, राजनीतिक, भावनात्मक, व्यावसायिक, मनोवैज्ञानिक, शैक्षिक या अन्य प्रकारों या परिणामों के क्षति, त्रुटि के विरुद्ध सुरक्षित होने की स्थिति है (फ्रांसीसी सऊफ से) सुरक्षित है दुर्घटनाएं, नुकसान या किसी भी अन्य घटना को गैर-वांछनीय माना जा सकता है। यह घटना से या स्वास्थ्य या किफायती नुकसान का कारण बनने वाली किसी चीज के जोखिम से संरक्षित होने का रूप ले सकता है |

Safety training is essential to help train employees to think and behave safely on the job.  In the time between safety training sessions a lot can be forgotten.  One way to keep employees focused on safety is with simple, short daily safety messages.

Why use Daily Safety Messages?

Some employees come to a new job with more safety or survival sense than other employees. Regardless of past work experiences, a person coming into a new job needs to be taught your safe way of doing things.  Equally important is that all employees need to be reminded from time to time, the safe way of doing things.
